About Kelly Thorne Gore

What “hat” do you wear for iBloom?

I’m the Founder of iBloom.  In 2005, at the age of 23, God gave me a vision to inspire and empower women in my community to discover God’s purpose for their lives.  Little did I know that this mission would evolve to include a team of women on a mission to inspire every woman in the world to live a life she truly loves.

I’m SO blessed to serve alongside the most incredible women on our iBloom team.  I wear lots of “hats” on our team including visionary, strategist, planner, cheerleader, mentor, business coach, writer, speaker, prayer warrior and servant leader.

I’m really an accidental entrepreneur.  When I started iBloom, I didn’t realize that I was starting a business and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.  Crazy, I know!  However, I look back on all that God has taught me and the many experiences I’ve had since 2005 and I’m just amazed.  So, because of that, I love to come alongside Christian women in business to help them avoid that learning curve.  I’m passionate about equipping women in business with the step-by-step plan for building a successful business around their ideal life.

My Tree: A little about my family!

I grew up in Berea, KY with an amazing mom, dad, and brother.  We didn’t grow up in a Christian home, but through FCA in my local middle school I discovered a personal relationship with Christ.  I was then able to introduce my family to God and we started attending church together.

I’m SO blessed to have an incredibly supportive family and each of them has played a significant role in iBloom.  My Mom, Jane, serves as iBloom’s financial guru and prayer warrior.  My brother, Chris, is our video guru.  He’s the guy behind the camera for most of our iBloom videos and then does all of the production magic behind the scenes.  My Dad died in 2011 after a long battle with cancer.  He was definitely one of my biggest cheerleaders and a huge supporter of the work we do at iBloom.  His life was transformed after going through the iChoose2 Love My Life journey and the book is dedicated in his memory.

Family PictureAfter many years of waiting and praying for my future husband & children, God blessed me far more than I could have asked or imagined.  I married my soul mate, Jon, in December of 2010.  Then, after being told since I was 12 that I would probably never be able to conceive a child, God blessed us with our sweet Sophie just 10 months after our wedding!

In 2013, we found out that we were miraculously pregnant again with our daughter, Hannah. Unfortunately, when I was 29 weeks pregnant, I realized she wasn’t moving and we later discovered she no longer had a heartbeat. Though Hannah never took a breath in this world, God has used her to have a significant impact on the lives of so many already. As a family we’re continuing her legacy by creating a movement of people who look for opportunities to love, serve and bless others.

Then, just 6 months after Hannah’s death, God surprised us again. We were miraculously pregnant again with our son, Ben. {We need a better family picture, but you get the idea!}

My Favorites:

  • Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11-13:“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.  When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.”
