What “hat” do you wear for iBloom?
CFO & Prayer Warrior
My Tree: A little about my family!
I live in Lexington, KY with my two miniature Schnauzers, Hope & Max. Bill, my husband of 31 years, lost his battle with cancer in 2011. He was my best friend and soul-mate, so life has been quite different than I ever imagined. Bill & I were blessed with two great children, Kelly & Chris; acquired a fabulous son-in-law Jon; and surprised with our miracle granddaughter, Sophie. Being a grandmother is one of the greatest joys of my life. I have one sister, Sherry, who has encouraged and supported me my entire life. We have Family Day almost every Sunday after church that always includes my nephew, Mark and often adopted friends that have become family to us.
Your Favorite Verse: Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.” In the busyness of life, I need to be reminded often that I must STOP and listen for God’s still small voice for daily directions.
Special Verse: Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” God gave me this verse at a time I so desperately needed it.
Your Life Verse and Why: John 15:5 “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.” God has beaten me over the head with this verse more times than I can count… how much simpler can it be – I am nothing without Christ.
Treat: I love ANYTHING chocolate! Our traditional family birthday cake is Texas Chocolate cake that I have made for 32 years. Yummy!
Blog: My favorite blog is Beth Moore’s. Her Bible studies have guided me to learn so much about Jesus with in-depth study and a lot of humor thrown in. Love her ministry and her heart for others! Reading is my favorite thing to do to relax.
My Splurge: Where would you spend $100 if it was given to you to spend on yourself?
I’m a little different as I ONLY shop when absolutely necessary. I do love getting a massage with favorite masseuse, Nishaan.
My Inner Child?
My Heart: What makes you smile?
My granddaughter, Sophie.
