It’s that time again! Time to share what is happening for ONE of you with ALL of you. We celebrate each other and hopefully find something we can take away and apply in our businesses that will make us better at what we do. It is GOOD to take time to celebrate with others and to look for those things in our own our days, weeks, months, and years that are worth celebrating. I hope you’ll be inspired, share encouragement with each other, and yes, even pat yourself on the back for the good things you are up to. Mary Lu, tell us a little about what you do at FindGreatCompanies.com.
I work with Tracy Barse as the Social Media Manager for FindGreatCompanies.com. The company is membership based and helps businesses with networking, marketing, and social media. My role is to help take some of the load off of businesses by building and maintaining their social media platforms. I specialize in building social media graphics.
What would you say is working really well for you in your business right now?
Collaboration with Tracy is incredible! Our thoughts are very similar and in areas where one is weak the other is strong. We make a great team.
How has iBloom helped you grow your business?
The biggest thing iBloom did for me was provide the introduction to Tracy. We believe God had this in the plan and iBloom was the conduit to make it happen. We met during Dr. Jennifer Bennett’s Social Media Manager class. I will have to say this class was one of the best I’ve ever taken. It was so comprehensive and at the same time so easy to understand. I give it 5 gold stars! Up until committing to the Social Media Manager class, I had just been following iBloom on its social media platforms, downloading the freebies, and feeling the love in this community of Christian women who want to make a difference for others. I’m so glad I took the class and so grateful for the connections it provided as well. Thanks iBloom!
3 tips to help you make it work in your business too:
- Your future customers are watching you. Mary Lu was “watching” iBloom from a distance for a while before she took a class. Don’t be discouraged if your sales aren’t where you had hoped they would be at this point. There are people out there “watching” and if you continue to show up each day and provide great value, when the time is right, they will buy from you.
- Hone your skills. Know where you need to sharpen your skills and then get that training from a place you can trust. You’ll never know everything but everyday let it be your goal to know a little more than you did the day before. Your customers are counting on you to be the resource they can trust.
- Network. Iron sharpens iron. Don’t surround yourself with just any group. Find people with similar “want to”, integrity, and values. When you surround yourself with THOSE people, you will rise higher and waste less time on things that don’t fall in line with the priorities you’ve set for yourself and your business.
