Excited to share What’s Working for Women In Business with you!
You work hard…very hard. Many of your days may feel like you are doing the same thing over and over with little “return”. But we keep at it because we know that if we keep pushing through, continue to pursue being better at what we do, and we surround ourselves with inspiring & knowledgeable people…great things are bound to happen! Each week, we share something… real stories from real women… who are seeing fruit from their efforts and who will hopefully encourage you in your business as well. Let’s celebrate these women and join together believing that:
Your day, your breakthrough, your book release, your BIG SALE,
or whatever “IT” is for you
is on its way to you too!
This week, we share an interview with Cora Dugan, Social Media Community Manager for Youth For Christ East Michigan, yfcem.org
Cora, tell us a little about your work as Social Media Community Manager with Youth For Christ East Michigan
I serve this faith based non profit with branding awareness, social media marketing and graphic design needs. Reaching students everywhere while promoting family events for the community, as well as edifying how the organization is restoring hope to kids and families through Core clubs and local churches.
I also must mention my friend Tonya Tesluck who volunteers her time to help me with the marketing aspect. She has a lot of talent in the business realm and I am so grateful for her! She goes to meetings with me and helps me market to non profits in the community as well.
What would you say is working really well for you right now?
The organization recognizes the value of my knowledge and business skills because of the results we are seeing in relationships through social media marketing.
How has iBloom helped you grow your business?
iBloom has taught me to serve others in business at a higher level by trying to understand how to solve YFC and personal marketing needs through webinars, printed resources, books and handouts to learn from.Dr. Jennifer’s social media courses, Kelly’s business knowledge and Dawn’s customer service has served our needs professionally and in a very efficient way with solutions to every problem area.
3 tips to help you make it work in your business too:
- Recognize how your part contributes to the bigger picture. When you see how what you do affects others lives and can change entire communities for good, it will add purpose and drive to everything you do.
- Seek experts to come alongside you. If there are areas where you need reinforcement, don’t hesitate to delegate, get training in that area, or like Cora, seek a volunteer to help you reach the goals you’ve set for yourself and your company.
- Never stop learning & growing in your niche. Strive to be better each year, month, week than you were the one before. You’ll never be perfect or know everything but always keep learning and applying those lessons to your business. Your life and your business will be better for it.
