On January 12, 2012, I was laid off, along with 36 other lovely people from the employer that we all loved and enjoyed working for. I knew that day that I had to surrender all fear for the future to God, or I would worry myself sick. Not only have I been able to give it all to God, but my wonderful husband has too. He has not been in “panic mode” even once. And to add to our ability to trust God with all things material, we have had to give Him the care of my health after the doctors found a tumor and have been doing many, many tests. I know that God is holding me in the palm of His hand. As Marilyn Monroe said… Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

    • Thanks for your comment KarolLee! Praying for your job situation and your health as you surrender all of it to him. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be but I know it is so much easier when we surrender those big things to Him and trust that He has you in the palm of His hand as you said.

  2. Surrendering to God is a daily…sometimes moment-by-moment habit I am developing. What a blessing it is to realize how much you and I are loved by God. Once that got into my very being, everything changed. It’s not by my strength and power or determination. It is by my releasing and trusting in the Grace that gave all for me (and you).

Leigh Ann, Thank you SOOOO much for sharing your story. I had to laugh as I watched because I didn’t want to get anything with our last name or initials monogramed because I felt the same way. “What if it doesn’t last? Then that was such a waste!” is what I thought. Having children was actually a big help to me. I realized that if things didn’t work out for my husband and I, my 2 daughters and I were still a family with that last name and it would be ok. I’m happy to say that after 14 years of marriage, my husband and I are still together. And I’ve finally decided to add a few “monogramed pieces” to my home. 😉 Have a great week!! HUGS

    • Oh Michele, you are very welcome. How sad that we were both fed the same lie about marriage but how wonderful that we are both still very much married & can monogram happily! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your comment. Blessings to you & your family!

  4. I love your web and this particular clip on surrender came just in time, as I am learning to give all my desires to God. Just recently I was feeling very anxious about some situations in my life, when I prayed the Lord told me that the solution was to give the driving wheel over to the Holy Spirit. I just needed to seat on the back seat and enjoy the ride, trusting He was going to take me on the best road.
thank you all of you for the work you put into this site.
I am Italian, but do voluntary work in Thailand. I often thought of how wonderful would be if your messages were translated in Italian. Too bad I can’t do it, as I left Italy many years ago and my Italian grammar is not great.
All the best with God’s blessings

What a timely message for me. In listening to the first session of the iBloom Business Conference, I realized that I don’t know what I want. And now, listening to Leigh Ann, I realize that, once again, I must surrender all to God. I will surrender parts of my life, and before I know it, I’ve taken thos parts back up.
Not only d I need to surrender the “parts,” I need to surrender the whole. As in: my schedule, my health and fitness, my marriage, my children, my parents, my job, my book, my businmess. And I need to make sure I don’t pick any of them back up again.

Thank you Leigh Ann, for this video. I am getting so much from the “iChoose to Love My Life” book but the videos brings the teaching to life. I am in my first “God put us together” marriage and coming up to our tenth anniversary. I know that as we approach this anniversary, for some reason; I have been anxious for so many reasons. I am choosing to surrender my hopes and dreams for our anniversary and…you have given me just the idea for an anniversary present. Something monogrammed! Thank you.
