  1. Hi Lori. Loved watching this video about sleep. I sleep with a box fan going every night. It is white noise that blocks out many other sounds. I also keep my thermostat set on 70 so it is cool and I can wrap up in my favorite comforter. You had so many good suggestions. I am going to try the lavender oil on my feet.

  2. Lori, thank you for sharing all the great things that help you sleep. I’m planning to try all of them tonight. And, I’m glad that you were able to break your difficult pattern of not sleeping. I have had my sleep problem for a little over 20 years. And, I don’t have a lot of confidence that I will ever sleep well again. It has affected my health. I have hope because I know it’s in God’s hands, but learniing to sleep again has been a real struggle for me. I’m going to write down everything you did and see if I notice any improvement.I know it will take time and being consistent will make a difference. God Bless You Lori! 🙂

  3. Lori…I am so thankful that these wonderful suggestions are working for you. Having a set bedtime is the one thing that I do that has made such a difference in my sleep quality. I also MUST let my mind slow down and rest before I go to bed. So relaxing at least an hour before bedtime is so important. Love you, friend!

Loved watching your video Lori! I love my sleep. I remember going to sleep with praise music playing softly during a very difficult season of my life. I needed to have the words of truth going through my head instead of all the bad memories. Thankfully most nights I sleep well. When I have a new foster baby everybody always laughs at how fast I get them into a nightly routine because I want to make sure I get my sleep!!

  5. Hi!

My husband recently began to deal with his own snoring, and that’s helped my sleep immensely!

And just yesterday, I read/watched a bunch of information from a neurologist who is finding that ‘vitamin’ D3 helps her patients’ sleep, allowing their bodies to rest better and to heal from all sorts of issues. (D is actually a hormone which our bodies produce, not a vitamin, per se. If you’re low on D3, you won’t sleep well. Ask your doc to check your levels.)

I already knew my D was low, so I’m going to start supplementing it again!

Loved wachting the video Lori I love to sleep but with a new born I don’t get that much sleep I only get about 4 hours asleep at night.me and my husband made a time so we can sleep I sleep first and when are son goes to sleep he goes to sleep and that when I get three hours asleep then I wake up to take care our son then go back to sleep then wake up at 6:30 and get my other four kids ready for school. So I basically get 4-5 hours asleep but the lavender really works I have the lotions and bar of soap I take a hot bath and clean my body with the lavender soap and I’m so relax thank you for the ideas

  7. Lori, thank you for sharing your bedtime routine! I’m definitely going to work on trying some of these things in order to get a better nights sleep.

  8. Edwina Cowgill says:

I have struggled with insomnia for several years, averaging 2-3 hours sleep/night. I’m willing to try anything and everything if it will hep me sleep. Some mornings I’m so tired and sleepy that I find myself drifting off to sleep as I drive to work.
