Sleep On It Before You Write About It

I have discovered a new-to-me tip for writing blog posts and it is really helping me with my writing! So, of course, I want to share it with YOU! Any time I find a new source of blogspiration if you will, I have to share. So here it is. Are you ready? Wait for it…

That’s it!

Easy peasy.

Mind blown, right?

Just that simple act of writing your topic down on paper and then letting your brain sleep on it before you write about it makes the writing process so much easier.

Who knew?!?!

When I first heard about this tip not too long ago, (In a podcast… I’m pretty sure it was Michael Hyatt’s), I was a bit skeptical. So, I tried it for myself and whadayaknow… It worked! There’s also something to be said for having it laid out right there in front of you when you sit down to write. No wasting time choosing what you want to write about from your Blog Content List. Just sitting down, pulling up your Blog Template , and getting down to it because you’ve decided ahead of time.

Kind of like laying your outfit out the night before. Then there’s no fuss. No searching for shoes or earrings or spanks while in pre-caffeine mode. Much easier that way.

But also…

There’s just something about how your brain plays around with your topic subconsciously while you sleep. Much the same as how God makes my children grow and heals their booboos at night while they sleep. It is all miraculous and amazing and beyond my ability to comprehend. So I don’t try to understand it. I just enjoy it!

So don’t strain your brain trying to understand it either. Just be like me and be skeptical at first, and then go try it out for yourself. I think you’re gonna like it.

You’re welcome.

I’m really curious to hear back from you after trying this tip. Will you come back and let me know how it went? Thanks!
