  1. I’m good about getting 2-3 cardio workouts in each week, but I’m bad about incorporating strength training into my routine and am not doing any at all. I’m going to start adding 10-15 minutes of weights in once or twice a week.

  2. Since Halle Kate learned to ride her bike without training wheels, I’ve been moving a lot more! Before, we would go for walks but not far and not at a fast pace because she would want to walk or ride her scooter and then she would get tired and want to quit. Now, I’m pushing Kenley Jane in the stroller a couple of times a day as we walk very quickly trying to keep up with her! Who knew that her learning to ride a bike would help ME get into shape?! I’m still a fair-weather exerciser though and am looking forward to seeing everyone’s comments on how to more more. Hope you all do great this week and beyond! Great video Betsy! You are an inspiration to me and many others.

    • Oh Leigh Ann!! Really…doing things with our kids COUNTS!!! Here in San Diego there are a LOT of HUGE hills. In the morning there are so so many moms pushing strollers up and down these hills for exercise. On the weekends the dads are out there pushing those strollers up the hills!!!

  3. I’m still one of those people trying to believe that “exercise” is not a “4 letter word” 🙂 I feel I get ALOT of exercise in doing laundry and housework on a daily basis. My daughters have also expressed interest in starting a weekly workout with our Wii. I was just thinking about scheduling that each Saturday with my girls. And then I received this email and watched the video. I guess great minds think alike!! 🙂 Have a great week!! HUGS

    • Hi Michele!! Yep! You will have so much fun with the girls and they’ll have so much fun with you!!! Exercise is so much fun when we do activities we LIKE to do. Ha! While doing laundry and housework, do some lunges, lift “weights” (cans of food), and go up and down the stairs extra times. Anyway you can get in extra steps!! And BTW have fun with your WII!!

  4. Thanks for this Betsy!! Instead of driving to my once a week volunteer project, I walk to the bus stop and take the bus to the hospital where I am on the Chaplaincy Team. There I use the stairs to visit patients, instead of the elevator.
