Kelly’s Top 10 Favorite Books

I absolutely LOVE to read! In fact, I have several bookshelves full of my favorite, must-have books. I have a kindle that I love, but for some reason there is just something special about having a real book to highlight and take notes in.

Kellys Favorite Books

Life Books:

#1: The Bible – especially the MSG version! A very important part of my life is that I’m spending daily time with God reading His word. I have lots of different versions, but my absolute favorite for my quiet time is The Message.

#2: Jesus Calling is my very favorite devotional. I’ve been using it daily for the last 6 years. It’s amazing to me how each day God uses this devotional to speak directly to my heart.

#3: iChoose2 Love My Life is a book written by our iBloom Team, but it’s definitely one of my favorites! It’s a one-year journey that will inspire and equip you to live a life you love. My husband and I worked through it 2-years in a row and it helped us to make some significant shifts, so that we’re able to fully live into our priorities.

#4: The Circle Maker is all about dreaming big & praying hard. This book has taught me so much about getting really clear on what I’m asking of God and then praying, big bold prayers.

#5: Love & Respect is one of my favorite marriage books. It teaches some foundational truths for having a happy, thriving marriage.

#6: Chazown is a great book for those seeking to get clear on their purpose. It was a foundation book for our iBloom team in our early days.

#7: Sacred Obsession is a book I wish I had written. I love that it encourages readers to cultivate an intimate relationship with God.

Business Books:

#8: iBloom in Business is the business book I wrote. However, since it’s the book I wished I had read before I started iBloom, then it’s definitely on my favorites list. This book is a step-by-step plan for building a successful business while living a life you love.  I see many women building profitable businesses, but at the sake of not making time for the more important things of life. I wanted to show women that it really is possible to live into your priorities and also have a profitable business.

#9: The Ultimate Sales Machine is the book that I read multiple times per year. It’s filled with a wealth of information and insight. It’s not for the start-up business owner, but is perfect for those who are established and ready to take their business to the next level.

#10: 7 Practices of Effective Ministry is a book that I read when I was a Children’s Minister, but it’s so applicable to those of us who want to have God at the center of our businesses. I love the emphasis of making time for the things that are most important.

Narrowing this list down to just ten books was pretty difficult.  I have a feeling that I’ll be doing a few follow-up lists in the near future.

I’d love to know, what is one of your favorite books {and be sure to tell me why it’s a favorite}?
