How To Embed Video On Your WordPress Site and Why

Video is SO hot right now! Especially if you keep that video full of relevancy, value and short! People don’t have time to watch a 30-40 minute video BUT if you give them 2-3 minutes of valuable take-aways, they will come back for more!

Here is the thing, if you make a video, upload it to YouTube and give out that YouTube link, you are losing incredible traffic. Most people watch the video via their phone and don’t pay close attention to who made it and if they did acknowledge that, they have to take extra steps to learn more about that person.

If you embed that YouTube video into your website then they can explore your site, possibly sign up for your free offer OR purchase your product or service! HUGE difference maker for you between embedding on your website or giving out that YouTube link.

So let’s get started!

After you have uploaded your video to YouTube:

  1. Click the video so it pulls up your video page that you want to use.
  2. Click, “share” Embed Video 1
  3. Click “embed” Embed Video -2
  4. Copy the code Embed Video 3
  5. Next, go to the page or post on your website where you want to embed your video
  6. In the editor, click “Text Embed Video 4
  7. Paste the Embed Code from YouTube into the text box Embed Video 5

* Keep in mind, until you publish this page/post, your screen will look like this:Embed Video 6

Once you publish that page/post, you will see your video in all its glory.

As a bonus, I am sharing this video that Kelly Thorne Gore made “Motivation: Build Your Business Around Your Life”
