Have An Attitude of Gratitude

I love to talk and write about gratitude. Gratitude is looking at everything in your life and not taking a single thing for granted. It is shifting your mindset to thankfulness. Having an attitude of gratitude has the potential to change your life!

Even during one of my hardest seasons, God placed gratitude on my heart. When I would stop and look up and out, I couldn’t help but smile as I saw people, places and things that made my world better. Choosing to be thankful helps me live in the moment; it allows me to pause, breathe and reflect on all that God has done for me. I love that because life can get hectic and hurried…I never want to take all my blessings for granted!

Our iBloom Team practices having an attitude of gratitude individually, with our families and friends and also with our clients. One team member uses “listing 10 things you are grateful for right now” with her husband and another with her small child when life isn’t going as planned or they’re having a grumpy moment. By shifting to thankfulness we change our heart, which changes our thoughts, words and actions.

The iBloom Team is so passionate about choosing gratitude that we created the “100 Days of Gratitude” journal. We want to have a specific place to list all the things we are grateful for. As a life coach, I suggest this action step to all my clients. And now you can have your own spot to write out all that you are thanking God for!

You could place your “100 Days of Gratitude” journal in the middle of the kitchen table so the whole family can contribute. Or keep it in your tote to write in during your lunch hour. Or maybe you’ll keep your journal on your nightstand as you end your day with gratefulness. You will decide what works best for you. To go along with our “100 Days of Gratitude” journal, you will have access to a private Facebook group that will be led by Betsy Ringer and myself. Together we will practice gratitude through a variety of activities and challenges. We would love to have you join us! We give you all the details for becoming a member of the 100 Days of Gratitude Facebook group in the journal, so look for that when you receive your copy.

We are excited about all that God will do as we strive to have an attitude of gratitude. Won’t you join us on this journey?

  1. I love this article, and this is one of my favorite sayings. Burdens are lifted when we are able to press past what is happening in our lives and focus on the things that God has done. It brings things back into their proper perspective. It is so easy to become consumed with hardships and trials and forget about all of the wonderful things that God has done in our lives. Thank you for sharing!
