I love the pockets for things that belong to each person, coupons, things that need to be filed, ….etc! One of the things that really helps me is our cubby bookcase. It was something we purchased at IKEA yrs ago, and it has become indispensable to me. It’s 6′ by 6′ by 18″ with a beautiful dark stain. My favorite part, as a homeschooling mom, is that each child has their own cubby. or 2. All of their school books or fun books go in there. It’s been great for knowing right where library books are.

  2. I’ve had a good laugh as I was just dealing with stacks on my counter. 🙂

  3. Great tips, Kelly! I wish I had a laundry “room”…my laundry is in the basement…..but I do implement similar ideas in portable file boxes…pretty ones, of course!

    Blessings & Beauty to you!

  4. My favorite “tool” I use for keeping myself in check is a “6 Most Important Things List”. I will be honest I don’t always remember to write out a list every day which is why my home is not always perfect! 🙂 But it’s just a list of things you want to accomplish that day ex: 1. Laundry 2. Emails 3. Run the vacuum etc. I have found on the days I do remember to write out my list, my day goes much smoother and I feel better about that day. I also set reminders on my phone like “Time to make dinner” “Dinner time” “Girls’ Bedtime” etc. That also helps to keep me in check throughout the day. Oh and by the way, my daily list doesn’t always have 6 things-sometimes there are more items, sometimes less. Just depends on the day. So don’t stress if you can’t think of enough things every day to make it to 6. 🙂 Have a great week!!
