I meet with 4 girls on Thursday mornings. After a few weeks of talking, we decided to read the book, “So Long, Insecurity: You’ve Been a Bad Friend to Us’. I have been reading all the Friendship ideas and wanted to do something for these special women, Not having a lot of money, I took 4 plain journals and decorated them. I gave them an exciting facelift and then present them to my friends last Thursday. They all loved the journals!!

I gave my friend and prayer partner a friendship trinket from a local christian store! She was thrilled with it when I spent ALL of 2 hours going back and forth! The love was not of the gift but the thought of her unexpectedly!

I sent handwritten note cards to two friends from college. One, I haven’t seen in 9 years…she was the first friend that I made when I moved into the dorms…and she eventually was the maid-of-honor in my wedding. We have kept up on Facebook, but I felt that a handwritten note to let her know that I was thinking of her and that I appreciate her friendship over the years was more appropriate than a Facebook message! 🙂 The other, I see occasionally, as she doesn’t live as far away now….but it has been over a year now since I saw her last. We met the year before she graduated, so we only had two semesters where we were living in the same dorm… She and I eventually began a Bible study together that we invited all of the girls in the dorms to join us. Unfortuately, most evenings for our weekly Bible study, it was only the two of us, but we enjoyed growing closer to one another and closer to our Lord together anyway! I sent her a card to let her know that I was thinking and praying for her. I keep up with her via their family website…she is not on the computer much at all.
