What is your occupation?
I own a business called Taylor Captioning Services. We do closed captioning for religious and non profit broadcasting and web videos.
Tell us a little about your family.
I just celebrated my 7 year anniversary with my husband David Taylor. We live near his parents here in Richmond and they are some of the most supportive and amazing people I have ever met. His mom is my best friend and co-owner with Taylor Captioning Services.
What are a few of your interests?
I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, knitting, and game nights every Friday night with my friends.
What is something that is interesting about you that you would like to share with others?
I love blogging. A passion of mine is doing bible study blogs for women. I spend a lot of my spare time blogging about my faith journey and doing bible studies online. Some random facts about me. I’ve lived in over 6 states. I was in the ARMY for 5 months. My great grandfather is full blooded Cherokee Indian. I traveled with a professional drama company for 6 months and toured the entire East coast. These facts truly reflect how quirky, fun and random my personality is.
What is something you are looking forward to in the next few months?
I’m really looking forward to working one on one with Kelly and the mastermind group. I’m finally ready to take on the challenge of bringing my business up to a different level and mastering the art of self discipline that I need to make my business successful.
What is something you have learned from being an iBloom member and how have you applied it?
I attended an iBloom seminar title “Power Planning”. That seminar rocked my world. I was not only able to apply proper planning to my business but also to several areas of my personal life. It helped me get a bigger vision for my life. I’ll never forget when I finished that seminar and started applying these principles and my husband spoke up one day and said “I’m so proud of you.” He could really see the difference this seminar had made in my life.
What is something you like about being an iBloom member?
I absolutely love getting to know the other members. The iBloom facebook group has provided such a great opportunity for me to get to know other women entrepreneurs . Its been really encouraging to hear the ups and downs of their lives and to know that I’m not alone.
What challenge are you facing right now that you trusting God to help you with?
My health has been a huge struggle and has caused a huge challenge in being self disciplined. I’ve dealt with this issue off and on my whole life. I can see where not having self discipline has affected me personally, spiritually and with Taylor Captioning Services. I’m learning how to have more balance and in my life and what it means to be a healthy person.
