10 End of the Year Reflection Questions

This is my FAVORITE time of the year! I love the preparation leading up to the new year. In many ways, it feels like a blank slate and an opportunity to get a fresh start.

This is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and get ready for the new year.  Here are ten end of the year reflection questions to help you prepare for the new year.

  1. What are you most proud of from 2017?
  2. What lessons did you learn in 2017?
  3. How did you grow in 2017?
  4. Who invested in you in 2017? (This is the perfect time to write them a thank you note!)
  5. Is everything that you focused on in 2017 getting you closer to your big goal or dream?
  6. What are you going to do differently in 2018 than in 2017?
  7. If you had an extra $1,000 to invest in yourself, what would you do with it?
  8. If time or money didn’t matter, what would you love to do in 2018?
  9. What are you afraid of?
  10. For 2018 to be a success, what needs to be your focus?

I love to answer these questions in the note section of my 2018 iBloom Planner, so that I can have it for easy reference. I also love to use these journaling pages so I can store them together year after year. It’s amazing to look back at the responses and see the growth throughout the years.

As you’re working through the questions, I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment below sharing your biggest takeaway and/or one thing that you’d love to accomplish in 2018.

  1. Rachelle Deanne Bench says:

Kelly – This simple little exercise was such a fun window into my heart! And to see the desires of my heart written on paper was both empowering & inspiring, this is going to be a fun activity to share with my loved ones!
Thank you for sharing your end of the year reflection questions.

  2. Kelly, thanks so much for formalizing a process my family and I have done every year. I am focused on setting my goals for 2018 using my iBloom planner and even have the rest of my family moving in that direction! Thanks for your inspiration!

  3. Kelly, thank you for sharing these questions. They made me take a good look at my life, goals and dreams and what truly inspire me and fuel my passion to be the best person I can be. Writing them down in my notes section and taking the time to reflect before answering them, will also help me to stay focused in 2018. My biggest takeaway is I need to Trust the Lord in ALL the details, big or small and I can’t wait to see where He takes me this coming year! Stay focused on my goals, plan, strategize and just go for it. Don’t let fear steal my joy. Live, laugh and love! Savor every moment I am given. Thank you so much, you are such an inspiration to me.

  4. Sally Carlson says:

I am new to iBloom and hopeful that the process will help me hone my skills so that I will be a useful tool for Christ. Focus is an area in which I struggle.

  5. Michelle L. says:

Kelly, thank you for the time and effort you put into all this. You invest in others through this work you do and I greatly appreciate it. I like Sally am new to iBloom. It has been a struggle to stay with anything because it never seemed to line up right for me. I am excited about iBloom as I feel like for once I have a chance to succeed before I ever get started because of your tutorials, emails, and videos. My 2017 has been a rough year and these questions help me to stop and really think about how to change 2018. Most importantly it helps me to stop and think how God has directed my steps in 2017 and how we can work together better in 2018 for my life to focus more on Him. Once again thank you!

  6. I would love to travel…to see America, to see the world…that is my retirement goal to have a passive income so I can just travel!! Now to build that up….whew I’m tired just thinking about it. But I’m ready to be INTENTIONAL in 2018, no action will be taken unless it pursues my goals!
Spiritual goal: Read Bible/Pray daily, find a local church and be involved
Health goal: lose remaining 30 pounds and maintain 130
Financial goal: payoff remaining debts (by DEC2019)
Business goal: signup 3 online members monthly for financial coaching (open in early spring – presale begins soon!) $1500/mo income
Relationship goal: Be a friend, mom, sister, daughter I would want!
Personal goal: read 1book for pleasure monthly, take M.E.T.I.M.E. at least quarterly
Hobby goal: find one and enjoy doing it 🙂
